Dual Induction; also referred to as Induction, Dual, DIL
A conductivity tool that utilizes Medium and Deep focused measurements to provide the reciprocal resistivity equivalents. The DIL exhibits excellent bed definition in air or mud-filled boreholes. It comprises (6) separate measurements:
- RILM Resistivity,
Induction Log Medium
- RILD Resistivity,
Induction Log Deep
- CILM Conductivity,
Induction Log Medium
- CILD Conductivity,
Induction Log Deep
- SP Spontaneous Potential
- GR Gamma Ray
A great tool to determine bedding in PVC cased wells. As with all induction tools accuracy is highest at lower resistivity. A spontaneous potential (SP) and Gamma-Ray (GR) measurements are also recorded to aid in lithological identification.
